I purchased a Sherri Hill ballgown for my daughter's prom. It is a beautiful dress, with cutout back and one section with 3 clasps holding it. Within 30 min of arriving at her prom a clasp broke, and then a second clasp broke so she had only one clasp holding her into her dress. She couldn't move without fear of the whole thing falling open. She ended up having to safety pin it together, which looked terrible and snagged the material. I contacted the sherri hill website the same day, (a month ago) with my concerns and they didn't bother to get back to me. $1,000. for basically a one wear dress and it came apart. When you sell 'once in a lifetime' fashions, the workmanship needs to be excellent. This was not the case with this dress. Bridal Gallery where we purchased fixed the dress at no charge but said the workmanship is up to the manufacturer. SO disappointing for my daughter!! open back prom dresses
